I currently am in the gym 4-5 days per week, I alternate days of lifting different groups… I naturally have large legs and thighs, but am trying to lose wieght all over, but since I dont want my legs to get any bigger, i dont weight train them, just cardio every day 30-40 mins. Do you know if it would benefit my weight loss goals if I started weight training my legs as well instead of just doing cardio because i dont want them to get any bigger? 23/male here

I have started weight training, should I increase the weights weekly or as the weights become easier?

I just started weight training. I’m already doing cardio. I want to tone and really sculpt muscle. I am female, so I don’t mean like freakishly big muscles, but I’ve not worked out regularly for the past two years. Should I increase the weights every week. I go to the gym three times a week, or should I just up the weights when It starts to become easier to lift them.

What’s the best way to mix cardio and weight training?

I weight train every other day, splitting my workouts between pushing and pulling muscles. For example, on Monday I do pushing muscles, Tuesday I rest, then Wednesday I do pulling muscles, Thursday I rest, and so on. I workout out pretty intensely, spending about an hour and a half in the gym. I am trying to build muscle, that is my number one priority. However, I must have my cardio, but I can’t have it interfere with my gains. I thought of running in-between my weight training days, but I am concerned that it will interfere with my muscle recovery. Right now I am running right before my weight training, sort of as a warm-up, but that takes time and I don’t want to spend more than 1.5 hours in the gym (remember I am trying to put on mass). How can I get the cardio I want (20 to 30 minutes of fast running) without messing with my muscle gain? Will running on my off days hurt my muscle recovery?

I have been doing cardio five days a week, and just started introducing weight training into my routine. Will this make me gain weight or lose body fat?

Ok I am a 22 yr old female and I have been working out lately, and trying to involve weight training as well. I have been doing legs and abs on one day, shoulders, back and chest on the next day, and arms and running on the third day….. What my question is, is how many weight exercises should I do for each muscle group? For example, I have been doing about 3 different exercises for my biceps (bicepcurls, and 2 different machines that work on ur biceps) ive been doing about 3 sets of 12 on each exercise, so in total about 9 sets of 12 for each muscle group……. Is this good or am I over doing it? Is one set of 12 reps enough??? Please help!! Thanks!!
