I have lost a lot of weight over the past few years, yet I still have body fat still on me. Like on my arms, chest and on my sides. I lose weight by exercising but I have yet to do weight training. If I were to start weight training, how long would it take to see the fat go away and how many times a week should i weight train to get the absolute effect?
Ori asked:
For instance is it better to have a protein shake after weight training instead of whole foods and vice versa for cardio? Or should we eat 1 hr before and after all workouts, or is it 30 minutes?

I started weight training this week and I wear my Nikes for cycling, but my feet hurt when I do the elliptical or weight training. I bought some orthodics as suggested by my doctor. Any suggestions on some really good shoes though?

I’m going to high school next year starting 9th grade and joining both cross country and wrestling, the second one being my most favorite. On the sheet it says weight training is for 10-12 graders.

I’m 15, 5′4” and 97 pounds. I’ve been weight training for about 3 weeks now, 4/5 days a week with one hour of weight training and around 40-60 min. of swimming after. I eat a ham sandwich before training and frozen dinner with around 15-20 grams of protein after training. I’m trying to gain as much mass as possible during the summer. How long is it until I will see some results? When will I see minimum and maximum results?
I’m a male.

I’m training to do a 10 mile marathon in October but I’m also trying to gain 15 pounds of muscle by November. I want to weigh 180 (I weigh 167 now). I’ve put on the muscle before so I know I can do it. I just know that they say long distance running goes against weight training. Any thoughts on how I can do both?
Dirty D asked:
I read that if you use weight training to lose fat the right way you can shed off the fat 400% better then cardio. So my question is what is the right way to work out in order to do that?
